Division Matched Funds
Students producing projects in advanced production courses, specifically SART 361, SART 481, SART 483, SART 485, and SART 497, are eligible to apply for a modest student production grant provided by the Communication Division. Most grants will range from $500-$1000, but may change from year to year depending on availability.
These funds are designed to provide support for exceptional projects aligned with the Division’s mission and for those that will raise the profile of the Screen Arts program. Projects that have already demonstrated fundraising success through crowdsourcing will be given priority.
Applications
To be considered for the grant, students must provide the following deliverables:
-
A link to a video recording of the student(s) pitching their project and their specific funding request, while providing a sense for their personal vision and passion. The video must be under 5 minutes long.
-
A full pitch deck that, at minimum, includes a summary, synopsis, and director’s statement.
-
A budget pdf, outlining the overall project expenditures, with clear indications for how the grant will be strategically used to strengthen and complete the project.
-
A link to the crowdfunding website for the project.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until funding is no longer available.
Submissions
Students will submit their grant application to the Communication Divisional Dean via email no later than the midway point of the semester. Students will be notified within two weeks of submission.
