New Student Discount for Film Equipment!

Hey filmmakers! Welcome back to Pepp. We hope you are excited for another great year of production!

We have scored a great deal with FilmTools that allows Pepperdine production students to purchase production gear with a discount! Instructions are below. Take advantage of this great opportunity while you can.

1. Go to this FilmTools portal for Pepperdine students.

2. Scroll down and click on "Create an education account today"

3. Create a user profile USING YOUR PEPPERDINE.EDU email.

4. Send an email to students@filmtools.com (from your Pepperdine email) that includes: a PHOTO of your student ID and a PDF copy of your current class schedule (these are to verify that you are in fact a current student).

It will take them a day or two to process, and then you will have student discounts applied to whatever you buy.

After you've signed up, start using this link for quick access to the specific gear that the SART division has identified as necessary for students. We'll add more gear to this site over time.

You DO NOT have to purchase items through FilmTools, but they are cost competitive, and you can go there if you want to drive to Burbank (it's actually kind of fun to walk around in there... field trip). Other items we use or that are compatible with Pepperdine's gear will slowly appear on their site, so you'll be able to order any film gear you need through them if you want. And they have good customer service, so if you have a question, ask. "I need a card for a C100... which should I get?" Things like that.
