What: Netflix documentary "13th" screening, Q&A with doc participant, free food
The Department of Intercultural Affairs would like to extend an invitation to the Communication Studies faculty and students for the screening of Ava DuVernay's 2016 documentary "13th."
The documentary explores the intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States. After the screening, there will be a Q & A with an academic and civic leader, Dr. Melina Abdullah, who was in the documentary. Food will be provided to the first 40 students to arrive.
